About usThe German-Romanian culture association was founded on the 18.01.2007 after the entrance of Romania in the European Union. A part of the members of the executive board and club members were active in other Romanian culture associations respectively in the Romanian Orthodox Church. In 11.09.2007 a new development have been done within the European Program „Jugend in Aktion“, an international youth meeting under the devise: Equality of chances in Europe. The main purpose of the association is the sponsorship of the Culture, to promote European values, to discover and to know more about the life of people in Europe. A specific objective is also the increasing the relationships between the European region Nüremberg and the region Brasov. In order, different activities like debates, workshops, music and cultural events, and recreational activities are organized, as: - Foundation of a kindergarten in Nüremberg, Fürther Str. 166-168, where the children are looked after and taught, also during and after the exhibition, - Several activities for children and teenagers like Saint Nicolai celebration with music and dancing, trips with the parents, - Organisation of the INTERCAMBIUS 2006 in Setubal/Portugal where 12 teenagers from Germany attended. - Organising the summer schools, where Romanian and German writers have been presented, with lectures adequated to the teenagers. - Organization of the Romanian summer festival in Nüremberg. For the third time Romanian culture and traditions are presented in the old city centre of Nüremberg in Jakobplatz. The purpose of these actions is to increase the publicity of Romania, to present the Romanian community’s ant his history. Our role in the project- Activities for creation of a reflection upon the origin of UE, upon the integration and preservation of real history with its dark sides of the ethnic groups from the countries throughout Eastern Union, - Participation in realising of the virtual exhibition “Remembrance of Pain and Hope”, launch in July 2010 at Fagaras, Romania, - Participation to the organized events – November 2009 and July 2010 in Fagaras, Romania, - Participation to the development of a network and collaboration among the partners, - Disemination of the events. |
